Welcome to My Site:]

My Motto - Stop and smell the flowers...live each day as if it were your last...and each and every day... try to smile at a stranger.

My Writing - I remember writing my first story when I was seven years old. It was about a cat that was a pet, he died and I was heartbroken. Since then I have written many prose, poems, and lyrics throughout my life. I finally took the leap and began writing my first novel in 2009.

My Life - I have been happily married for over 25 years. My amazing husband Chris is my Knight in Shining Armor. He was the first guy who made me laugh and enjoy life. My two sons Curt and Steven gave me the driving force to work hard at being a momma and a teacher. They give me my sunshine.

My Novels - What can I say, I love to write...write...write. I have penned three complete novels since 2009 and have many other characters awaiting their debut. I am so passionate about my stories. When I share my stories with friends they seem to ask if I am writing a memoir about my life. I have to be honest and let them know my characters are all fictional..except for my memoir.

My Other Job - I have worked with children since I was twelve years old. I began my "official" teaching job in 1993. After all these years I still wake up in the morning excited about going to work. I am currently a Middle School teacher. Yes, I teach 8th graders! And yes, I love my job! I enjoy their humor, sarcasm, and moodiness. But most of all I enjoy their compassion and passion for what they believe to be true.

I hope this gives you a little picture about my life. Please feel free to visit my site and explore my stories. My hope is you leave thinking about my characters.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Excerpt from Chapter 1 - Juliana Rosenthal the Fairy Princess

The Werewolf – The Werewolf lives among the human race. They are a strong clan of warriors and they stick together in battle. They can dematerialize anywhere, anytime for any reason. A Werewolf will only transform when they are in battle with their enemies. They are also called, “Weres”. They protect their pack and humans from other species. Werewolves have one major enemy; they are called the Dark Panthers. The dark panthers fight for territory and will at times engage in surprise attacks. Although the Weres’ position in life is to live in peace they will battle when they are in trouble. Werewolves are feared because they are strong warriors. They are the second highly respected and feared, among the Underground. Only second to the vampire...

Bryn Donnelly was a Werewolf and a Warrior. He was the leader of his pack. He stood 6’2, his arms and legs were full of muscles and he looked like he could devour you with two bites. He didn’t smile and he looked angry and mean most of the time. Among the warriors Bryn was highly respected and many that knew him called him “Captain”.

In the underground world many female species admired his beauty; he was extremely handsome; his hair lay back right over his shoulders, blonde, thick and beautiful. Bryn’s blue eyes entranced every girl who looked into them. He had a beautiful face, high cheek bones, lips that were made to kiss and the rare times he smiled you could see one beautiful deep dimple on his right cheek. His body was strong and powerful, you could see the muscles flexing through his shirt and pants. But the female species knew Bryn was unfortunately unavailable.

Bryn had a broken heart. He had loved and given his entire being and in the end he had lost his heart and almost his soul. First and foremost Bryn was a leader, just as important Bryn was a brother and a warrior. But love, well love just didn’t fit in the picture.

During the day when the world was unaware of the Underground he lived among humans. He was a freelance photographer. And today he was on a special assignment. His assignment… The Wall of Flowers – Machu Picchu...

As Bryn turned his camera to the center of the wall he suddenly noticed someone, a petite young woman was moving along the walls. He looked through the lens and focused his lens on his camera. Suddenly he stopped and held his breath. There she was; the most beautiful princess he had ever laid his eyes upon. Bryn’s heart began to beat quickly as if it were trying to jump out of his body. When his heart stopped doing the fast pounding he began speaking to her out loud.

“Who are you?” “When did you get here?”

She was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen; stunning and delicate. As she stood and stared at the flowers Bryn could have sworn she was not real, she was too resplendent--to perfect. But as she began moving around the walls; he knew in an instant she was real. Bryn began taking pictures of this beautiful angel that had in an instant taken his breath away.

She was small, petite, probably weighed 115 lbs if even that. She had to be a little over 5’6; small and graceful. She was wearing a black short skirt that flared out and bounced with her. Her blouse was silky soft and looked as delicate as her skin, it was white and short sleeved which buttoned in the front. It had a beautiful ruffle design in the front next to each button. She wore a short black leather jacket and black leather ankle boots. She was dressed like a runway model and she had the long legs to prove it but there was something about her beauty that held Bryn’s heart in his hand. He suddenly pulled his eyes from the lens and laughed at himself realizing he had been looking at every detail of her clothing.

Bryn placed his eyes back on the lens and began to focus on her face. Her skin was a pale milky white but her hair was jet black and her eyes were just as black and large. Her eyelashes were long and they looked like thick beautiful paint brushes when she closed her eyes. Bryn continued looking through his camera lens. Her hair was long almost down to her waist and it shined brilliantly. It had soft curls at the bottom and they bounced around when she moved. He noticed she had an IPOD clipped to her jacket and there were earphones in her ears.

Bryn couldn’t take his eyes off of her. She was stunning, mesmerizing. The pounding his heart was doing right now was new. A female had never made him feel like he was feeling at this moment in time. He was taken aback by his feelings. Bryn continued watching and clicking his camera.

At the beginning she was slowly walking along the walls and Bryn was able to take pictures of every step she took. An instant later she started running, jumping, and dancing. Bryn quickly pulled another camera out for speed shots and was clicking as fast as he could; trying to keep up with her. He began speaking to his delicate beauty, he knew she couldn’t hear him but it didn’t matter.

“You are so beautiful, dance for me princess, that’s right keep moving and keep dancing.” Bryn’s jaw hurt and he suddenly realized he was smiling. But he didn’t care; from the top of this cliff he had a perfect view of the Wall of Flowers and of his new beauty, a princess that had just appeared out of nowhere. He found himself smiling from ear to ear, it felt good to smile; it had been a long time.

As Bryn continued clicking his camera his princess suddenly leaped up into the air and spun her body around. A second later she landed on her feet as if she were stepping off the curb of a street. Bryn was in awe and in shock.

“What are you? God you take my breath away. You seem as delicate as the flowers surrounding you and yet you seem as strong as the stones of this ancient building.”

As his beautiful stranger continued dancing and moving along the buildings; all Bryn could do was watch in awe and continue clicking his camera. He was stuck on the top of the mountain like a prisoner who chose not to go home. He was stuck on the top of this mountain by this beautiful stranger who had in an instant stolen his heart.

Bryn’s cell phone suddenly went off. He looked down at the phone. He yelled at his phone even though he knew his beautiful stranger couldn’t hear it and the caller couldn’t hear his remark.

"Shit, don’t interrupt me I’m in heaven right now.”

As soon as his phone stopped ringing and went to voice mail his stunning princess suddenly stopped dancing. She took a deep breath and stopped at the Room of the Three Windows. Her hand found a handful of flowers and she smelled them and smiled. She seemed so content and happy. He took another shot and he focused on her face and whispered once again to himself.

          “Jesus…you’re so beautiful.”

Bryn wanted to dematerialize down to the Wall of Flowers and meet her, talk to her, find out what her name was. But he knew that would scare the shit out of her. She was a human and Bryn knew all too well how he seemed to scare humans with his size. And even if she was of another species he had no business bringing his sorry life into her perfect world.

His phone once again began to ring. He looked down and yelled once more.

          “Shit, stop calling me!”

As he read the name on the screen of his phone he already knew it was Erick his second in command. He opened his cell and yelled.

          “What? This better be important!”

“Captain I’m sorry to bother you but…I just received a text from your brother and he’s in danger over at the bridge.”

Bryn was surprised and then angry.

“Why didn’t he call me? He is supposed to be in Philadelphia. Where is he? What was he doing at the bridge!? Get the men ready and meet me at the front of the bridge.”

Bryn did not allow Erick answer his questions. He slammed his phone down.

Bryn desperately wanted to stay at Machu Picchu. He looked over at his beautiful princess and took one last picture of her. She was running her hands over a daisy bush and smelling a daisy. Her hair was brilliantly shining, and she had a splendid smile upon her face.

“Till we meet again my princess…”

And then he dematerialized to the Golden Gate Bridge…

If Bryn had been on alert he would have seen the black figures transcending towards the center of the Wall of Flowers. He would have seen the demons of hell preying on and circling his princess. He would have seen his princess running with great speed and he would have seen hundreds of black figures chasing her, surrounding her and quietly laying a trap. But unfortunately, he had missed all of it. Bryn had already dematerialized onto the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco where his brother Neal was in trouble…
