Welcome to My Site:]

My Motto - Stop and smell the flowers...live each day as if it were your last...and each and every day... try to smile at a stranger.

My Writing - I remember writing my first story when I was seven years old. It was about a cat that was a pet, he died and I was heartbroken. Since then I have written many prose, poems, and lyrics throughout my life. I finally took the leap and began writing my first novel in 2009.

My Life - I have been happily married for over 25 years. My amazing husband Chris is my Knight in Shining Armor. He was the first guy who made me laugh and enjoy life. My two sons Curt and Steven gave me the driving force to work hard at being a momma and a teacher. They give me my sunshine.

My Novels - What can I say, I love to write...write...write. I have penned three complete novels since 2009 and have many other characters awaiting their debut. I am so passionate about my stories. When I share my stories with friends they seem to ask if I am writing a memoir about my life. I have to be honest and let them know my characters are all fictional..except for my memoir.

My Other Job - I have worked with children since I was twelve years old. I began my "official" teaching job in 1993. After all these years I still wake up in the morning excited about going to work. I am currently a Middle School teacher. Yes, I teach 8th graders! And yes, I love my job! I enjoy their humor, sarcasm, and moodiness. But most of all I enjoy their compassion and passion for what they believe to be true.

I hope this gives you a little picture about my life. Please feel free to visit my site and explore my stories. My hope is you leave thinking about my characters.

I look forward to hearing from you.

She sat on a bench in San Francisco. She was only thirteen years old but had been homeless for three years. It was very cold it was in the 40's and she was trying desperately to stay warm with a pair of socks she had found in a dumpster that she had placed over her hands. The coat she had outgrown three years ago when she first arrived still kept her teeth from chattering with cold. She wore a beanie that a stranger had given her about a month ago as he rushed off to catch the cable car to work. But it was her feet that were freezing because she only wore a thin pair of tattered sneakers. She had no socks for her feet because an older homeless man had ripped them off her feet a few weeks ago. She folded her legs and tried to cover her feet but the bench was cold as ice to sit on. And so she sat and rocked herself back and forth. She was singing an old REM tune called, Everybody Hurts to herself and playing her guitar--she was trying to get her mind off of the cold. She began staring at the dark gray clouds and the rich patches of blue sky and she was smiling…

Lady Hamilton climbed into her limo she was headed towards downtown San Francisco. She was late for a meeting and yet she was not in a hurry, after all she was the president of her company so her staff members would have to wait. She looked up at the gray clouds and felt a desperate need to head towards San Francisco Central Park. The smell came through in an instant.

It smelled of citrus and sugar, her heart began to race. And so her limo driver made an immediate u-turn and headed towards the park. As the limo turned the corner Lady Hamilton spotted her and she asked the limo driver to stop. She rolled her window down and took a deep breath and knew in an instant what this child was. A puzzled look spread across her face. She knew the Gods had sent her to save this child and yet she was confused by what was in front of her. What was she doing here in the human world and homeless?

As she stared at this child from across the street she could see this young girl was homeless by what she was wearing and she felt sorry for her. But as she stared at her she couldn’t help noticing the radiant smile upon her face. This beautiful child was humming to herself and rocking back and forth. She took another deep breath and sighed. The child had the biggest blue eyes she had ever seen with long eyelashes. She had white milky skin and was a very petite child. Not tall but had long legs. She was thin but somehow seemed healthy. She was a beautiful angel sitting on a freezing bench...
